Membership classes

Does it really matter if I’m a member or not? Why do I have to take a class to become a member? Do I have to pay or sign anything? Is church membership Biblical? People often ask these questions about church membership.

At Malvern PC, we take church membership seriously. Committing yourself to a body of believers is a big deal, but it is also wonderful. To join a local church as a member is to agree to live together with other believers in a way that’s worthy of God’s call to live as a chosen people, royal priesthood, and holy nation. It’s to agree to display God’s glory through gospel-centred living and relationships. In other words, the local church is a community of faith in a world where our relationships with God, one another, and outsiders are uniquely gospel-centred and God-honouring.

Participate

Biblically, the church doesn’t consist of people who simply park their cars, walk to the church, and attend the service in the building from one Sunday to the next. Instead, the church comprises of people who share the life of Christ with each other and those outside the church on a day-by-day, week-by-week basis. At Malvern PC we offer many activities and programs for all ages, ranging from our Bible Studies, Church Camp, Family BBQ, and Movie Nights, Ladies High Tea, Mens Fellowship, KidsClub, Youth Group, and the School Holiday Program. Contribute

Our offering is a reminder that God is the supplier of everything that we have. Giving is a privilege. Giving generously to the work of the church reflects a grateful heart that wants to give back to God a portion of what He has given us, and in reality, what is already His. Giving is also a reflection of our priorities, it is an opportunity to show God that He is first in our lives.
